I had not read a novelette before so this was a first for me, and I was into it from the beginning!! I quickly read this because I HAD to know what happened. The setting and situation reminded me of a situation I had encountered a few years ago actually, so it was very easy for me to envision these characters and the overall storyline. I loved the characters, each with their own secrets and different motivations for their actions, very easy to envision as real people. The plot is very realistic and could easily be a “true” story to someone. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I didn’t feel like anything was rushed or like I was missing details, everything fell into place and flowed really well. I liked that it was written from the main characters view, had it been alternating it would have given the twist away rather quickly. If you’re looking for a quick and suspenseful read you have to check it out! I cannot wait to dive into more of Holly’s works!
