Author Sheidenberger has written the perfect little thriller. It’s short, you can read it on your lunch hour (and then think about it for the rest of the day!) Because this is so short, she carefully grounds her prose in what’s happening now. Don’t expect full back stories- it’s a novelette, not a novel. And she does give us enough to get a feel for the characters in present time. Sheidenberger’s novelette is easy-to-read, well-crafted, with a rising sense of dread. If YOUR partner was missing, who would YOU trust? It’s 5 stars from me, and I’m excited about her soon-to-be-released novel!
